The holiday season is almost here, and the Seattle Christmas Market is bringing a little European Christmas magic to the heart of the city! Running November 20 through December 26, 2026, the market transforms Seattle Center into a festive winter wonderland filled with European and local vendors, daily snow showers, holiday entertainment, festive food and drinks, and plenty of seasonal cheer. The market is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
There’s something for everyone, whether you’re shopping for unique gifts, enjoying a cozy holiday treat, or making memories with family and friends. Take a spin on the carousel, browse gifts from local and European vendors, snap a photo with Santa, or enjoy daily live entertainment and holiday karaoke. You can also stroll beneath a walk-through Christmas tree and experience the market’s festive photo opportunities.
Come hungry! Food options include traditional German pretzels, bratwurst, stollen, Bavarian roasted nuts, dumplings, borscht, raclette sandwiches, French crepes, brioche donuts, fudge, and more. Warm up with hot chocolate or enjoy a festive cocktail. Vegan and vegetarian options are also available.
From the 1962 World’s Fair to the 2026 Seattle Christmas Market
The Seattle Center has a history almost as special as the holiday season itself. In 1886, Seattle founder David Denny donated the land for public use, laying the foundation for what would eventually become one of the city’s most beloved gathering places. The site was transformed for the 1962 World’s Fair, officially opened by President John F. Kennedy on April 21, 1962. Today, the iconic Space Needle, International Fountain, and Seattle Center Monorail remain reminders of that historic event. The center now hosts celebrations and events year-round, including WinterFest (which runs with free admission from November 27 to December 31), the free Festál cultural festival series, and, of course, the Seattle Christmas Market.
Plan your visit
You’ll find the market at Fisher Block, between Climate Pledge Arena and the Seattle Center Armory. Children six and under get in free, and no ticket is required for them. Season Passes offer unlimited visits throughout the season, with individual and family options available for two adults and two youth.
Money-saving tip: Visit during opening weeks in late November! Tickets are typically $6.99–$10.99 compared with $19.99–$21.99 during peak December dates. That’s one way to enjoy the same festive experience on a budget.
For parking, the 5th Avenue N. Garage, Mercer Street Garage, and Theatre Commons ADA Parking Lot offer $20 parking for up to five hours on market days with a valid ticket.
Prefer public transit? The bus is one option (use King County Metro’s Trip Planner). You can also take Link Light Rail to Westlake Station and transfer to the Seattle Center Monorail for a quick ride right to the market.
