If you’ve been following the Artemis II launch this week and dreaming of being among the crew, there’s a special event in Seattle this weekend you won’t want to miss. The Museum of Flight is hosting its annual Yuri’s Night celebration this Saturday, turning the museum into a 21+ cosmic nightclub for a night of space-themed fun. Expect music, dancing, cosplay, interactive art, and lively discussions about space exploration.
Some of the evening’s highlights include:
- Meet a real astronaut: Four-time shuttle veteran Dr. Stephen Robinson will be in the Space Lounge, located in the historic Red Barn, sharing stories and insights about life and work in human spaceflight.
- Dance under aviation history: Move to the beats of three main stage acts beneath the iconic Blackbird spy plane, or tune in to one of three silent disco channels. The night’s DJ headliner is Chris Luno.
- Get creative: Try your hand at designing your own spacesuit with expert guidance from the Spacesuit Design Contest team.
- Fuel up: Enjoy a variety of options from five different food trucks including Cascadia Pizza Co. and 9th & Hennepin Donuts.
All proceeds support the Museum of Flight, helping to bring more space experiences to the community.
