Seattle shoppers will have a new way to celebrate International Women’s Day this week as University Village hosts its fourth annual property-wide “Women Supporting Women” pop-up on Friday, March 6, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The free, all-day event highlights women-led businesses and entrepreneurs with a curated lineup of pop-ups, special promotions, food and drink offerings, and interactive activities throughout the open-air shopping center. Visitors can browse pop-ups from local brands while enjoying music, giveaways, and seasonal treats—all designed to spotlight women-owned businesses in the region.
Food and drink will be a major part of the festivities. At Trophy Cupcakes, guests can sample limited-edition desserts and enjoy special drinks created in collaboration with Bellevue-based Matcha Magic from 1 to 5 p.m. Don’t miss the unveiling of the exclusive Trophy x Matcha Magic cupcake! Also, “in the spirit of celebrating International Women’s Day with friends,” the bakery will offer buy-one-get-one-free iced matcha lattes while supplies last. Flavors include Strawberry Matcha, Classic Matcha, and Purple Rain (an ube-lavender latte topped with matcha sweet cream). Trophy’s matcha soft-serve ice cream will also be available.
Wine lovers can stop by DeLille En Ville for a happy hour featuring women winemakers, while shoppers can discover pop-ups at stores like Anthropologie, which will be hosting beloved local brands like Lumi Design Collection, Noire Essentials Candle Co., Curated Ballard, and umanos. Meanwhile, the Village Green will host beginner pickleball sessions accompanied by a live DJ, creating a lively community atmosphere.
More than a dozen retailers—including Athleta, Kiehl’s, Away, and Faherty—will also offer one-day-only perks such as swag bags, gifts with purchase, and discounts ranging from 10% to 30%.
Shoppers can find the full schedule of activities, locations, and participating brands on the University Village website.
