Looking for vegan desserts in Seattle?
We know a place—or actually a few. It may not seem easy at first glance to find vegan desserts in Seattle, but we’re happy to be able to say that there’s a wide range of incredible options. Whether you’re looking for vegan ice cream, vegan donuts and pastries, or vegan bakeries in Seattle, there’s something on this list for you. Many of these places also offer gluten-free options and other allergen-friendly menu items.
Here are the top 10 places to find yummy vegan desserts in Seattle:
1. Frankie & Jo’s
Frankie & Jo’s is one of our favorite ice cream shops in Seattle—and it also just so happens to be vegan! All of their ice cream is “always vegan, gluten-free, gum-free, stabilizer-free, and soy-free.” They have three locations in Seattle with flavors ranging from classic chocolate and strawberry to carrot cake and matcha mint.
Locations: Capitol Hill, Ballard, and University Village
2. Dough Joy
You can treat yourself to vegan donuts and drinks at Dough Joy’s adorable Capitol Hill shop or their new West Seattle location. All of their donuts are 100% vegan and all their coffee drinks also come with oat or alternative milk at no extra cost.
Locations: Capitol Hill and West Seattle
3. Lazy Cow Bakery
This new vegan bakery in Seattle was a welcome addition to the Fremont neighborhood. You’ll find everything from adorable vegan cakes to vegan croissants here. They give back to the community with a free community fridge and food pantry located inside the bakery.
Location: Fremont
4. Mighty-O Donuts
Self-dubbed “Seattle’s first plant-based organic donut,” Mighty-O Donuts has been a Seattle staple since 2000. They now have five locations in the city, as well as one in Tukwila.
Locations: Green Lake, Downtown, Ballard, Capitol Hill, and Denny Triangle
5. Cinnaholic
We love the build-your-own vegan cinnamon rolls at Cinnaholic in Capitol Hill. They also serve other desserts such as brownies, cookies, and edible cookie dough—all 100% vegan!
Location: Capitol Hill
6. Flying Apron
West Seattleites love this bakery for its vegan treats (both sweet and savory). Flying Apron recently joined the Wildflower Group so now they will be offering gluten-free baked goods as well.
Location: West Seattle
7. The Flora Bakehouse
Although The Flora Bakehouse is not 100% vegan, it does offer an excellent selection of vegan and gluten-free baked goods and treats. We especially love eating their vegan cinnamon rolls on their sunny rooftop deck.
Location: Beacon Hill
8. Nuflours Bakery
Focusing entirely on allergen-friendly baked goods, Nuflours has lots of vegan options as well as a 100% gluten-free menu.
Location: Capitol Hill
9. Salt & Straw
The wildly popular Salt & Straw is not all-vegan but unlike other ice cream shops that only offer one dairy-free flavor at most, they currently have four vegan ice cream flavors to choose from. We love the Peanut Butter Brittle Caramel Fudge.
Locations: Ballard and Capitol Hill
10. Bake Shop
Although it’s not a vegan bakery, we love the vegan cinnamon rolls, chocolate chip cookies, and dark chocolate brownies at Bake Shop. They also have vegan savory options in case you need something heartier.
Location: Lower Queen Anne
