Star Wars fans in Seattle, rejoice! You’ll soon have the chance to binge-watch all the Star Wars films at one of the best movie theaters in the city—and you get to choose your preferred viewing order. Tickets are on sale now so don’t wait to reserve your seats for your favorite Star Wars films.

SIFF Cinema Downtown will be screening the entire Skywalker Saga, as well as both standalone Star Wars Stories: Rogue One and Solo. Formerly known as the Seattle Cinerama, this movie theater in Belltown first opened in 1963 and has since achieved landmark status. When Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) purchased and reopened the Cinerama theater in 2023 it was renamed to SIFF Cinema Downtown, but its icon status (and the chocolate popcorn) remained.
Here are the films being shown during the marathon:
- Star Wars: The Phantom Menace (1999)
- Star Wars: Attack of the Clones (2002)
- Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (2005)
- Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)
- Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016)
- Star Wars: A New Hope (1977)
- Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
- Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (1983)
- Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015)
- Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017)
- Star Wars: Rise of the Starwalker (2019)

What’s really neat about this marathon is that you can choose the order in which you prefer to watch Star Wars. Weekend one of the marathon will be showing the films in chronological order, with SIFF inviting viewers to “jump into the saga in narrative sequence, from Anakin’s podracing days to Rey’s final rise.” It will start with Star Wars: The Phantom Menace on the morning of Friday, September 5 and end with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker on the evening of Sunday, September 7.
Alternatively, you can join the marathon when it shows the films in release order. “The way the world first saw it,” according to SIFF. “Relive the shocking reveals and the original trilogy magic as they unfolded across decades.” This version of the marathon will kick off with Star Wars: A New Hope on the afternoon of Friday, September 12 and end with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker on the evening of Sunday, September 14.
There will also be showtimes on the weekdays, from Monday, September 8 through the end of the marathon on Thursday, September 18. Tickets are $22 per film and are on sale now on the SIFF website.
