Tulips At The Skagit Festival Will Be At Peak Bloom This Week

By Emma Colosia

The annual festival delivers year after year with 350 acres of gorgeous tulips of all different colors!

According to organizers, most flowers are expected to be in peak bloom between today and Monday, April 26. So if you were planning to make a quick trip to the fields, this weekend might be your best shot. If you’re not really into walking long distances don’t worry, you can roam the tulip fields by car. For those who choose to drive, organizers have created designated points along the route for you to stop and take any photos to keep the flow of traffic moving.

The fields are just 60 minutes from downtown Seattle and if you’re planning to make the visit, it might just be the perfect weekend for the quick getaway.

Officially inaugurated in 1984, the festival has grown to be one of the most popular events of the year. In 2019, it welcomed visitors from over 50 states and 85 foreign countries. Don’t miss it!

Remember there are two separate gardens, Tulip Town and RoozenGaarde, and you will have to buy separate tickets if you wish to enter both.

Different events will be hosted at each of the gardens, including an alpaca farm, art shows and bicycle rides. You can find the full schedule here.
