Head to the Sequim-Dungeness Valley, where miles of fragrant lavender fields come alive each July during the annual Sequim Lavender Weekend. Taking place July 17–19, 2026, the beloved festival transforms this quiet Washington town into one of the country’s most colorful summer destinations.
Known as the “Provence of Washington,” Sequim is home to more than a dozen lavender farms that welcome visitors throughout the summer. During Sequim Lavender Weekend, many farms host special events, including you-pick lavender, live music, food vendors, artisan markets, workshops, and family-friendly activities.
Each farm offers something different during the festival weekend. Olympic Bluffs Lavender Farm & Cidery features wreath-making classes, craft cider and mocktails, plein air artists, and kids’ activities. At Lit Lavender, visitors can enjoy essential oil distillation demonstrations, mini golf, axe throwing, scavenger hunts, farm animals, and fresh-cut lavender. Victor’s Lavender Farm adds evening barn dances, live entertainment, workshops, and plenty of locally made lavender products. Note that some farms charge an admission fee during the festival (typically $5–$10).
The centerpiece of the weekend is the 30th Sequim Lavender Festival at Carrie Blake Park. Open Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the festival offers free admission and parking, more than 150 artisan and food vendors, live entertainment, local lavender growers, and handcrafted gifts featuring Sequim-grown lavender.
New for 2026 is A Taste of Provence: The Cuisine du Soleil, a four-course dinner inspired by the sun-soaked flavors of southern France. Held Friday and Saturday evenings at the Guy Cole Event Center, the event benefits Sequim Sunrise Rotary, with proceeds supporting local organizations, including the Sequim Food Bank.
Beyond the farms and the festival at the park, visitors that weekend can also browse an art exhibit, catch a lavender-themed comedy at Olympic Theatre Arts, or explore the farmers and artisans market at Sequim Civic Center Plaza.
