Seattle-area mango fans have a new reason to make a springtime grocery run. T&T Supermarket—the largest Asian grocery chain in Canada, with U.S. locations in Bellevue and Lynnwood—is bringing back its annual Mango Festival now through May 28.
A long-running tradition for more than nine years in Canada, the festival spotlights dozens of mango-themed treats made in-house. This year’s event features around 40 mango desserts, including 10 new creations from the bakery. One returning favorite, the Fresh Mango Cake—previously highlighted by The Seattle Times—continues to be popular for its light texture and fresh fruit.
Among the new and notable items: a Fresh Mango Pomelo Cream Cake layered with coconut mousse and topped daily with fresh-cut Carabao mango; a Mango Pomelo Cake with Pork Floss that blends sweet, tangy, and savory flavors; and a Dubai Chocolate Mango Daifuku, combining chewy mochi with rich chocolate and fruit. Shoppers can also find a Fresh Mango Portuguese Tart and a Mango Pomelo Yogurt Parfait for lighter options.
Getting to the stores is easier than it used to be. With the expansion of the Link light rail 2 Line, Seattle residents without a car can reach both locations via transit. For the Bellevue store, riders can exit at South Bellevue Station and transfer to a short bus ride. For Lynnwood, the Lynnwood City Center stop puts visitors about five minutes away by bus.
You have until May 28 to get your mango fix at a T&T near you—enjoy!
