Here’s why you need to go to the Seattle Tattoo Expo this August!
Even if you don’t have any tattoos, this is an event that is worth checking out. The Seattle Tattoo Expo is back at Seattle Center this month during the weekend of August 18-20. Other than the chance to get a cool tattoo from a talented artist, attendees will be able to enjoy burlesque performances, funny tattoo contests, and more.

Wondering if you can get a tattoo at the expo? You definitely can (as long as you’re 18 or older). You can view the list of tattoo artists that will be there and book an appointment directly with the artist. Some artists will also be offering walk-up appointments. Keep in mind that you’ll need to buy a ticket to the expo in addition to paying for your tattoo.
There will also be tattoo contests throughout the weekend. If you’d like to enter your own tattoo in a contest, you can fill out an entry form at the expo along with a $15 entry fee. Contests include Best Sleeve, Best Portrait, Funniest Tattoo, and Worst Tattoo.
In addition to all the tattoos and contests, there will be live music, burlesque performances, a vendor village, concessions, and a beer/spirits garden for ages 21 and up.
Here are the event’s hours:
- Friday, August 18: 2:00 to 10:00 p.m.
- Saturday, August 19: noon to 10:00 p.m.
- Sunday, August 20: noon to 8:00 p.m.
If you’re hoping to bring your kids, the expo is family-friendly. Kids under the age of 12 get free admission! No pets are allowed, however.
Tickets to the expo will be available at the door, but prices will rise and sometimes they sell out. So if you plan to go, make sure to get your tickets now! You can get tickets and more info on the event website.
