Do you love baking? Are you looking for a friendly community of other bakers in Seattle? You won’t want to miss this event coming up in August in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood. Seattle’s Cookies in the Park is a free cookie swap where members of the Cookie Meet Up Club can bring your favorite cookies to share and try out delicious cookies from hundreds of other Seattle bakers!

Cookies in the Park is hosted by Seattle Bakeshop, and it is inspired by their popular Seattle’s Cake Meet Up event this past June. The cookie swap will run from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 31 at Salmon Bay Park in Ballard, rain or shine. A club membership is required.
To comply with Seattle Health Department regulations, this cookie swap must be a private event. Therefore attendance is limited to the first 250 people who join the Cookie Meet Up Club. The $15 ticket gives you membership to the Cookie Meet Up Club: a community of fellow cookie lovers. “The Cookie Meet Up Club is all about sharing, experimenting, and celebrating cookies together,” Seattle Bakeshop shared. Members can then attend club events, such as the Cookies in the Park event, for free.
To attend Cookies in the Park, follow these instructions:
- Join the Cookie Meet Up Club ($15).
- Bake at least 24 cookies—or buy them from a local baker.
- Label the cookies and list the ingredients (nuts and allergens must be disclosed).
- Bring the cookies and a serving utensil.
- Check-in at 1:00 p.m.
You may also want to bring a picnic blanket to sit on, and be prepared for rain! Cookie boxes and utensils will be provided.
Planning to bring your kid or dog? All ages are allowed but a membership is required for each individual. Dogs are allowed in the park but not near the food.
