Locals know that in Seattle, winter doesn’t mean hibernation; here, we show up and have fun in any weather. In that spirit, Seafair invites you to come out to the Seattle Waterfront this weekend for the start of a new annual tradition.
If you explored Seattle’s new-and-improved waterfront when it reopened last summer, this is your chance to see it in a whole new way. On Saturday, February 21, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Seafair will host a free, family-friendly winter festival along the waterfront. The day wraps up with a ticketed concert celebration at Pier 66 from 4 to 8 p.m.
The festival is the perfect excuse to get out of your house, support local businesses, and embrace the season—yes, even if it rains. Along the waterfront, you’ll find free entertainment and activities for all ages, including appearances by the Seattle Seafair Pirates, the Seafair Clowns, and even a hydroplane for a taste of that summer Seafair fun. A vendor marketplace presented by BECU will feature local vendors, food, drinks, and more. There will also be plenty of indoor spots to warm up.
While the festival has free entry, visitors can upgrade to a festival passport, with prices ranging from $15 to $125 for VIP. Passport holders will enjoy perks like free ice cream and chowder, prize opportunities, access to the Pier 66 concert, exclusive tastings and pop-ups, and 20% off admission to the Seattle Aquarium.
If you plan to attend, you can find additional details on the Seafair website.
