Seattle seafood fans will have a chance to celebrate local oysters and support marine conservation at the same time when Sea Creatures hosts its third annual OysterFest later this May in Pioneer Square.
The event takes place Thursday, May 21, at The Rooftop at RailSpur, an event space perched above Sea Creatures’ newest restaurants that opened this winter. Hosted by the acclaimed Seattle restaurant group led by James Beard Award-winning chef Renee Erickson, OysterFest brings together oyster farmers from across Puget Sound for an evening focused on Pacific Northwest seafood, sustainability, and waterfront culture.
Guests can expect freshly shucked oysters, wine and beer, small bites, and sweeping views of downtown Seattle and Elliott Bay. Tickets are priced at $100 per person and include one dozen oysters, a beverage choice (wine, beer, or a nonalcoholic option) along with a selection of snacks. Additional oysters, cocktails, and drinks will also be available for purchase throughout the evening.
The event serves as a fundraiser for Oceans Initiative, a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting marine ecosystems and wildlife throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Representatives from the organization will be onsite to talk about their conservation work, answer questions from attendees, and host a silent auction benefiting environmental programs.

This year marks OysterFest’s debut at The Rooftop at RailSpur, located on the seventh and eighth floors above Lowlander Brewing, Un Po Tipsy, and Mio Of Mio—three restaurants that opened this winter as part of the RailSpur development in Seattle’s historic Pioneer Square neighborhood.
Sea Creatures OysterFest begins at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 21. Check-in will be located in the east-west alley entrance off Occidental Avenue South. Reservations are available through OpenTable.
