Looking for stress relief and community? You can join the Seattle chapter of the national Scream Club™ this weekend. First started in Chicago in 2025, Scream Club™ has now spread around the country. Members meet up to participate in a cathartic group scream. The club’s tagline is “Therapy is expensive. Screaming is free!”
Scream Club™ Seattle meets once a month, typically at sunset on the first Sunday, in West Seattle’s Lincoln Park. If you’d like to join the next meetup, it will be at 4:30 pm on Sunday, February 1. You’ll find the group at Picnic Table 4 (an accessible four-minute walk from the park’s Parking Lot 2).
The itinerary is short and sweet. The club starts each meetup by setting an intention together, followed by a collective scream, and then “a simple closing to ground” the participants wraps the whole thing up. The organizers emphasize that this event is free and open to all ages, and is meant to provide a supportive and non-judgmental space for letting it all out.

Scream Club™ is a safe, non-judgmental gathering for mental health, connection, and emotional release. We live in a world that tells us to stay quiet, hold it together, and pretend we’re fine, while stress, anger, grief, and even unspoken joy build up inside. Screaming is a release, a reset for the mind and body, and when we do it together, something shifts. You realize you’re not the only one carrying heavy things, and you don’t have to carry them alone.”
If you join them on Sunday, here’s what to bring:
- A water bottle
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- A journal (optional)
- Dogs are welcome if they’re comfortable with loud noises
Where to find free parking:
Lincoln Park has two main parking lots along Fauntleroy Way SW: Parking Lot #2 (lower) with roughly 40 spaces and four ADA spots, and the Main (upper) parking lot with about 80 spaces and five ADA spots. Street parking is also available. Parking is generally free on Sunday.
