If you’re looking for gentle ways to focus on wellness in the new year, Seattle has an upcoming event series worth adding to your calendar. In winter 2026, the Seattle Art Museum (SAM) will once again host SAM Body + Mind, a set of creative and restorative experiences held indoors at the Olympic Sculpture Park. The best part? All of the events are free!
Designed to support mindfulness, healing, and connection, SAM Body + Mind brings together movement, art, and performance in a welcoming indoor setting. The series alternates between Saturday evening events and Saturday daytime activity sessions, offering something for a variety of schedules and interests.
On select Saturday evenings, visitors can attend free sound healing performances featuring local and visiting musicians. These events take place from 6:30 to 8:00 pm and offer a calm, immersive way to unwind. RSVPs are required for evening performances, as space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Saturday activity days run from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and include a mix of movement classes, hands-on art activities, silent reading, and other low-pressure wellness offerings designed to support both physical and mental well-being.
The 2026 series begins on Saturday, January 17, and continues through Saturday, March 21. All programs are free, open to all ages, and held indoors at the Olympic Sculpture Park’s PACCAR Pavilion. You can see the full schedule on the Seattle Art Museum website. Note that the first evening performance on January 17 (featuring Dianna Lopez) is sold out, so RSVP now if you’re interested in the other performances!
