“The World’s 100 Best Coffee Shops 2025” list was revealed at CoffeeFest Madrid this February. Push x Pull in Portland, Oregon landed at number 34 on the list. They’re known for their naturally processed coffee and experimental flavors. If you don’t want to make the trip south, we have good news for you: they also have a location in Seattle.
Push x Pull is located at 2407 E Union in Seattle’s Central District neighborhood and is open from 8:00 to 3:00 daily. It opened in 2022 in the space that used to belong to Union Coffee. Seattleites love Push x Pull for its high-quality espresso and for its appeal as a remote work space. Reviewers also praised the cafe’s matcha and chai.
In addition to coffee, they also serve pastries and other light bites as well as bottles of wine.

To create the top 100 list, coffee shops around the world were judged by the following criteria:
- Quality of coffee
- Barista expertise
- Customer service
- Innovation
- Sustainability practices
- Food and pastry quality
- Consistency
- Ambience and atmosphere
Coffee shops were nominated by both the public and an expert panel. In addition to the panel of coffee experts and industry professionals evaluating the coffee shops, the public were also invited to cast votes online. The final scores were calculated via a weighted system with 70% of the score derived from the panel and 30% from the public.
