As summer winds down, it can be interesting to look back at where people in Seattle were dining (at least in terms of restaurants that take reservations). OpenTable’s July booking data revealed that The Pink Door was Seattle’s most-booked restaurant.
A longtime fixture at Pike Place Market, The Pink Door claimed the No. 1 spot, continuing a run of popularity that has made reservations there notoriously competitive. The restaurant has been serving its take on local Italian food since 1981, with a menu built around Pacific Northwest seafood and seasonal produce.
That combination has helped The Pink Door become one of Seattle’s signature dining destinations. OpenTable highlighted the restaurant’s seafood- and produce-driven menu as a defining part of its appeal, alongside its colorful, theatrical atmosphere.
For diners hoping to guarantee a table at The Pink Door, planning ahead is a must, but here’s a little-known tip: showing up around lunchtime on weekdays can often get you a table with no reservation needed, especially in the winter months when the tourists are gone. If there’s a bit of a wait, you can stroll around Pike Place Market to kill time. And one other tip: order the lasagna.
The rest of July’s top five reflects Seattle’s excellent options for waterfront dining, Japanese cuisine, and brunch—with lots of established local favorites on the list.
Number two on the list was Salty’s on Alki Beach, a longtime destination for seafood, city views and waterfront dining. Umi Sake House came in at number three. The Belltown favorite is known for its izakaya-style dishes and extensive sake selection. Portage Bay Cafe in South Lake Union took the number four slot, helped by its popular brunch offerings and outdoor seating. Rounding out the top five was Carmine’s 5th Ave, a newer downtown restaurant opened by the team behind Il Terrazzo Carmine in late 2025.
The remaining five spots went to a mix of Seattle staples and destination-worthy dining rooms. Duke’s Seafood on Lake Union landed at No. 6, followed by Toulouse Petit Kitchen & Lounge at No. 7 and Lola Seattle at No. 8. Seattle Rooftop Next Level Lounge by Fogo de Chão ranked No. 9, while Il Terrazzo Carmine — another longtime Seattle institution — rounded out the top 10.
