Seattle’s waterfront has been revitalized with recent additions, from the Overlook Walk to a new bike path. Now there will be a beloved local ice cream shop located at the south end of Waterfront Park, just in time for summer. Molly Moon’s Ice Cream will be opening their newest scoop shop along the waterfront this month!
Read on for all the details.
The new Molly Moon’s scoop shop will be located in the Washington Street Boat Landing Pergola. This historic structure is over 100 years old. You can view photos of the historic pergola from 1920 and 1937 in this proposed work document. It will be left largely as it is, with only minor changes made to accommodate the scoop shop.
The Waterfront Park location will be Molly Moon’s 10th scoop shop! The other Seattle locations can be found in these neighborhoods:
- Capitol Hill
- Columbia City
- Madrona (seasonal)
- Queen Anne
- Wallingford
- U Village
Outside of Seattle, there are also Molly Moon’s locations in Bellevue, Redmond, and Edmonds.
Molly Moon’s menu includes 15 flavors: 11 of which are year-round and four more seasonal options. The menu also features toppings and sundaes. It’s all made with fresh, local ingredients.
They have vegan options too! Their year-round vegan flavor is Coconut Chunk and their current vegan seasonal flavor is Vegan Birthday Cake, plus they always offer a vegan chocolate hard shell topping. The other three seasonal flavors (non-vegan) for May are Birthday Cake, German Chocolate Cake, and Strawberry Shortcake. See all 15 flavors here.
You can line up for your scoop of Molly Moon’s Ice Cream at 199 Alaskan Way. You’ll find it next to the Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal.
The tentative opening date was April 25, 2025 but the opening has been delayed. We will update this post with the new opening date when we have it! For updates, be sure to follow Molly Moon’s on Instagram.
