If there’s one thing Seattleites love, it’s treasure hunting at local thrift stores and yard sales. Every May hundreds of homes participate in the West Seattle Garage Sale Day, and earlier this month Capitol Hill Garage Sale Day took over Cal Anderson Park. Now it’s time for another Seattle neighborhood to share its best used goods: Montlake.

This year’s Montlake Yard Sale is on Sunday, September 7. The hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., although some yard sales may start earlier or end later. This will be the neighborhood’s eleventh annual yard sale!
Montlake is a centrally-located neighborhood in Seattle. It’s north of Capitol Hill and just south of the U District and the Montlake Cut. This quiet residential neighborhood has a reputation for affluent residents and picturesque houses. If you plan to drive around for the yard sale, be sure to watch out for pedestrians and be patient while looking for street parking.
If you’d like to register as a seller for this year’s Montlake Yard Sale, you can fill out the registration form and pay a $10 fee that goes towards signage. The only requirement is that your yard sale takes place within the Montlake neighborhood. If you have any questions you can email yardsale@montlake.net.
