Seattle is getting its very own Monopoly board, and locals are invited to have a say in what ends up on the board.
Top Trumps USA, the American division of Winning Moves International, plans to release MONOPOLY: Seattle Edition next year on October 21, 2027. The game is being produced under license from Hasbro, and instead of the familiar Atlantic City properties, the new board will spotlight iconic Seattle places, businesses, and organizations.
The company is now asking Seattleites to nominate the spots they think best capture the city. Local businesses and nonprofits can also submit themselves for consideration, with selected organizations potentially becoming permanent spaces on the board.
So, what belongs on a Seattle Monopoly board? Give it some thought and then submit a nomination online, whether your idea of quintessential Seattle involves a landmark, a neighborhood institution, a favorite local business, or something else entirely. Spots like the Space Needle and Pike Place Market are obvious musts, but this could also be a great opportunity to highlight important local organizations and small businesses.
The Seattle edition won’t stop at swapping out the property names. The game is also expected to feature Seattle-themed Community Chest and Chance cards, along with customized Monopoly money, giving the classic game a local spin.
Nominations are open now and must be submitted by Oct. 31, 2026 on the Top Trumps website. The form allows up to five nominations to be submitted, with categories including food, education, art and entertainment, retail, landmarks, museums, hospitality, and more. Businesses and nonprofits interested in being considered can send submissions and inquiries to seattle@toptrumps.com.
The finished game is scheduled to hit stores and online retailers on October 21, 2027, with availability expected through retailers including Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and select Seattle-area stores.
For Seattle residents, the nomination process offers a chance to settle one very important question: Which places in the Emerald City deserve their own Monopoly square?
