Seattle is getting another turn in the reality TV spotlight.
Season 20 of “Married at First Sight” was filmed in the Emerald City, bringing the long-running relationship experiment to some of the Seattle area’s most recognizable landmarks. The new season premieres July 12 on Peacock and follows 14 Seattle-area singles who agree to marry complete strangers moments after meeting them at the altar.
The milestone season is the show’s biggest yet, with more participants than ever before and two new relationship experts joining the matchmaking team. After the premiere, new episodes will drop weekly on Thursdays through the August 27 finale and reunion.
Beyond the inevitable relationship drama, Seattle itself plays a starring role. Filming took place from late summer into fall 2025, with crews capturing scenes at iconic spots including Pike Place Market, Kerry Park, Hotel Sorrento’s rooftop, Seattle Glassblowing Studio, The Lookout Bar & Grill on Capitol Hill, Pioneer Square, Woodland Park, and Lake Union Park. According to The Seattle Times, cameras even rolled aboard a Washington State Ferry.
The cast ranges in age from 26 to 47, though the series only identifies contestants by their first names: Adam, BelléJolie, Caitlin, Cameron, Courteney, Devin, Felipe, Marissa, Mecca, Michelle, Nick, Nikki, Shawn and Tori.
Season 20 also introduces relationship experts Paul C. Brunson, a matchmaker and relationship coach, and Dr. Lisa Paz, a licensed marriage and family therapist.
“Married at First Sight” first launched in Denmark in 2013 before becoming a global franchise. The U.S. version debuted on FYI, spent more than a dozen seasons on Lifetime, and moved to Peacock in 2025. It follows Netflix’s “Love Is Blind” as the latest dating series to make the Emerald City its backdrop.
