If you live in King County, here’s a pretty great reason to sign up for a library card: On Tuesday, August 25, 2026, your King County Library System (KCLS) card can get you and your family into the Pacific Science Center for free.
KCLS is teaming up with the Pacific Science Center for a one-day-only offer that includes free general admission for KCLS cardholders during regular hours, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. No advance ticket is needed for general admission—just bring your library card!
Note that a KCLS card is not the same thing as a Seattle Public Library (SPL) card. If you are a Seattle resident, you’re eligible for cards from both library systems!
Here’s how it works
Getting in is easy:
- Bring your KCLS card. Physical cards are accepted, as are digital or printed copies. You can also show your Libby or KCLS app.
- Head to the Main Entry. Show your card at the general admission desk on August 25 during open hours.
- Bring the family. Each library card covers up to two adults and their dependents under 18 at no charge.
The freebie applies to general admission only. IMAX films, documentaries, and studio films cost extra. The Planetarium is included with general admission, although tickets are limited, so be sure to ask for yours when you check in.
And remember, this deal is only good for August 25.
