Who says you have to wait until October for spooky season? Seattleites can get a head start on Halloween festivities with a fun, family-friendly evening in Fremont on Thursday, July 30.
From 5 to 9 p.m. on July 30, N. 35th Street will transform into a “Halloween in July” edition of the Fremont Night Market. Attendees are strongly encouraged to show up in costume. Whether you go all out with elaborate makeup or DIY an epic group costume, dressing up comes with a potential reward. Stop by the market’s information booth to enter the costume contest for a chance to win $100 in credit to Magnolia Vintage Warehouse. We’re expecting to see at least one Jimothy the Raccoon costume.
The festivities don’t end when the market closes. At 9:30 p.m., the classic horror film Night of the Living Dead will be screened outdoors at LTD Bar & Grill, giving movie fans the perfect way to wrap up the evening under the summer sky.
Despite the spooky theme, both the market and the outdoor movie are open to all ages. Since the movie takes place at a bar, minors will receive wristbands, while adults can enjoy themed drinks like zombie beer and blood wine.
