Looking for something free to do in Seattle? How about a soccer match?
The Seattle Sounders are offering free tickets to several of their home matches at Lumen Field during the 2025 season. The catch? To be eligible, you have to have never been to a Sounders match before.
If that’s you, this is a great opportunity to take part in a beloved Seattle activity. Maybe you’re new to Seattle, or you just haven’t been able to afford to go. Maybe you’re not a big soccer fan or you don’t like sports in general! Whatever the case, we can confidently say that cheering on the Sounders at Lumen Field with thousands of die-hard fans is something that everyone should experience at least once.
Ready to enjoy your first Sounders game? All you have to do is follow these steps:
- Sign up on the Sounders website with your email and phone number.
- Claim your two free tickets—one for you and one for a friend!—seven days before the match (you’ll get a text).
- You’ll also have the option to purchase up to four more tickets if friends and family want to join you.
In addition to the two free tickets you’ll also get a free gift and a “specially designed welcome experience.”
Note that only your first game is free. Not every match this season is eligible. You’ll have the option to choose one of 11 upcoming home matches at Lumen Field, starting with the Saturday, March 22 match against Houston.
Explaining the intention behind the program, Sounders FC President of Business Operations Hugh Weber said: “We’re confident that giving people in our community the chance to take in our matchday experience will lead to many falling in love with the sport and our club in advance of FIFA Club World Cup 2025 this summer and FIFA World Cup 2026 next summer.”
