The 2025 Evergreen State Fair theme is “Where the Magic Comes Alive,” and it’s the perfect way to wrap up the summer. This fun fair is an annual tradition in Monroe, Washington—less than an hour’s drive from Seattle. It’s back and bigger than ever this year with new food vendors, beer gardens, carnival rides, live entertainment, and much more from August 21 through September 1!

What are the dates and opening hours?
This year the Evergreen State Fair will run from August 21-26 and August 28 to September 1, 2025. But keep in mind it will be closed on August 27, so plan accordingly. The gates are open from 10:30 am to 10:00 pm on most days. However, on Labor Day, September 1, it will only be open from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm. How much do tickets cost?
Tickets are on sale now. The regular admission tickets can be purchased on the day of entry at the ticket booth. The regular ticket prices include:
- Regular (13-61 yrs.): $16 weekdays and Labor Day and $18 weekend
- Military with ID: $13 any day
- Youth (6-12 yrs.): $13 any day
- Seniors (62-89 yrs.): $13 any day
- Seniors (90+) and kids 5 yrs. and under: Free!
- Parking: $10 weekday and $15 weekend
Plus, there’s a special Senior Day discount on August 25, so ages 65+ can purchase tickets for only $7!
Are there special entry days for sensory sensitive visitors?
The Evergreen Morning of Dreams is a special morning event for children and adults with disabilities and/or sensory needs. It’s a nationally recognized and award winning initiative for removing barriers in parks so that all visitors can enjoy fairground fun. On August 26 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. everyone can experience the fun of the fair without lights and sounds. No special ticket is needed, and the general fair admission applies. What is the entertainment this year?
There is so much going on at the Evergreen State Fair every single day that it’s impossible to list everything. The entertainment highlights for 2025 include monster trucks, classic car displays, daily musical acts, equestrian events, and live music. Also new this year is pony rides!
As for the live music, the special concerts include Wynonna Judd on August 25, Tommy James and the Shondells on August 26, Aaron Crawford on August 28, and Stone Temple Pilots on August 29. What delicious fair food is available?
Of course, everyone knows the best part of the Evergreen State Fair is the fun fair food being served up with style. All of the fan-favorite fair foods will be available such as gourmet grilled cheese, bratwurst, Mexican street tacos, Indian tacos and fry bread, kettle corn, piroshky, funnel cakes, BBQ, and hot dogs.
