The Empire Strips Back blends the art of burlesque with the world of Star Wars, and it’s open now in Seattle! Currently playing at the The Cornish Playhouse, familiar characters like Princess Leia, C-3PO, and sinister Stormtroopers are taking the stage like you’ve never seen before.
This beloved production has had sold-out shows and rave reviews ever since it first opened in Australia in 2011. In recent years The Empire Strips Back finally made its way to the U.S., stopping in cities like LA, Chicago, and New York.
At each stop, audiences and critics alike have loved The Empire Strips Back. WeLiveEntertainment said: “Probably the most fun I’ve had at a show all year! A must-see.” Reno Gazette Journal also praised the production: “Star Wars fans, this is the show you’re looking for.”
At The Empire Strips Back, you can expect a diverse playlist of music (spanning every genre from modern pop to heavy metal classics), sensual and talented dancing, and hilarious skits that both fans and non-fans of Star Wars will love.
The Empire Strips Back opens at The Cornish Playhouse on June 21. The 2 hour and 15 minute production will have showings on:
- Wednesdays and Thursdays: 7:30 p.m
- Fridays: 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m
- Saturdays: 4:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m
- Sundays: 4:00 p.m
Please keep in mind that the show is 18+ only, so the padawans will have to stick with the regular Star Wars movies. But for everyone else, you’re in for the sexiest trip to the galaxy far, far away you’ve ever seen!
