It’s confirmed! Emerald City Comic-Con will be held in person in December.
After almost two years without enjoying the Emerald City Comic-Con due to COVID-19 reasons, it’s confirmed to come back this winter. This year, it will be held from December 2 to 5 at the Washington Convention Center downtown.
The annual entertainment convention, held since 2003, had exploded in popularity in the last years, welcoming 100,000 visitors in its previous edition in 2019. Renowned celebrities had also made an appearance like Jason Momoa and Jeremy Renner in 2017.
The ECCC team moved the 2021 event from spring to winter, intending to plan the safest and most exciting Comic-Con yet. The safety guidelines they’ve already specified in their website mentions compulsory face coverings (even for people in costume), reduced capacity, temperature screening, and physical distancing.
Vendors and headliners haven’t been announced, but we can’t wait for more details to be shared as the event’s planning continues. We’ll keep you posted, or you can subscribe to their newsletter to receive the latest updates via e-mail.
