Seattle’s cocktail scene just got a stylish new addition. This June, Pioneer Square welcomed Doris, an intimate cocktail bar and women-centered social club from Seattle-based Rally Group. Tucked into the former Salumi space on Third Avenue South, Doris is already drawing attention for its cozy atmosphere, thoughtful drinks, and welcoming vibe.
While the space is designed with women and community-building in mind, everyone is invited. The idea is less about exclusivity and more about creating a comfortable gathering space where people can settle in over a martini, a glass of wine, or a few shared plates after work. Doris describes itself as a “modern classic,” with a minimalist look that feels polished without trying too hard.
The space itself is teeny and Doris doesn’t take reservations. But that’s part of the appeal. It’s the kind of place you can casually stop into while wandering Pioneer Square for the evening. If there’s a wait, you’re already surrounded by plenty of nearby bars, restaurants, and late-night spots.
One of the biggest draws is the food program led by chef Neil Duncanso, a longtime fixture in Seattle’s restaurant scene. Over nearly two decades, he’s worked at local favorites like Homer and Delancey and previously led the kitchen at Cafe Suliman, a 2026 James Beard Award nominee. At Doris, the menu keeps things approachable: elevated snacks sit comfortably alongside comfort-food favorites like fries and a hot fudge sundae.
The bar is named after Rally founder Angela Dunleavy’s great-grandmother, who helped raise her — a personal touch that gives the space a little extra warmth and personality.
You’ll find Doris at 309 Third Ave. S. It’s currently open weeknights only: Tuesday through Thursday from 4–9 p.m. and Fridays from 4–10 p.m. Save us a seat.
