A popular Brooklyn-based jewelry brand is expanding to Seattle with a new retail store set to open in University Village this April.
Catbird will open its first Seattle location on Thursday, April 2, at University Village (2326 Northeast University Village Street, Suite 7). The shop will operate daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The store will feature Catbird’s signature demi-fine jewelry, including pieces made from 14k gold and sterling silver. The interior design incorporates soft green tones, with display cases showcasing the brand’s collections and dedicated spaces for its in-store welding services, a hallmark of the company’s permanent jewelry offerings.
To mark the opening, the retailer plans several promotions and events throughout its first weekend. To celebrate the shop’s opening on Thursday, April 2 and Friday, April 3, the first 15 customers in line each day will receive a $50 gift card.
Additional promotions will run through the weekend. From Friday, April 3 to Sunday, April 5, customers who make purchases can receive complimentary items such as wine, pastries, and small floral bouquets. The store will also offer custom tote bags filled with gifts, including a Toy Bow Charm, to customers who spend $350 or more.
The Seattle location will also carry exclusive charms designed specifically for the U Village store.
Catbird, which was founded in Brooklyn, New York in 2004, is known for its handcrafted jewelry and focus on everyday wearable pieces. The Seattle opening marks the company’s latest expansion into the West Coast retail market, adding to its growing number of physical locations outside New York.
