Seattle-area foodies, families, and live music lovers have a free summer outing to add to the calendar this weekend: CHOMP! returns to King County’s Marymoor Park on Saturday, August 15, 2026 to celebrate local food and sustainability.
The annual festival is all about fresh, local, and sustainable food in King County, with the aim of supporting the county’s Local Food Initiative. Expect plenty of ways to connect with local farms and farmers, chefs and restaurants that source locally, and organizations working on healthy, affordable food, farmland and farmer support, plus sustainability and social justice.
Live music is a big part of the day, too. This year’s lineup includes Cat Power, Whitney, Lady A (formerly Lady Antebellum), and Marshall Law Band. Cat Power is scheduled to take the stage at 4:35 p.m.
Bringing the kids? Daniel Tiger will make a special appearance with Mikey the Rad Scientist at 10:15 a.m. After the show, families can head to the Cascade PBS booth for a Daniel Tiger meet-and-greet.
Beyond the music, CHOMP! will feature a farmers market, local hot-food vendors, kid-friendly activities, and a food drive. Adults can also visit the 21+ beverage garden for beer, cider and wine.
Sustainability is a big part of the day’s activities, with attendees encouraged to bring a shirt, tote bag or other fabric item for DIY linocut or screen printing. At the Refugee Artisan Initiative booth, a mending fair will offer free repairs for pre-loved clothing, including button replacement and patching.
CHOMP! runs 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and both admission and parking are free. Getting there without a car is easier this year, too: take the Link light rail 2 Line from Seattle to Marymoor Village Station, then walk about 15 minutes into the park.
