If you’re looking for a beautiful setting to drink coffee and get your work done in Seattle, look no further. Cafe Blameless just launched its soft opening inside a 100-year old Ravenna church, transforming part of the beautiful space into a welcoming “third place” for the neighborhood. The idea is simple: a spot where Seattleites can grab a great cup of coffee, meet up with friends, get some work done, linger over a meal, or simply take a break from the day. As they put it on their website:
“Cafe Blameless is a third space where you can find great coffee, food to fill you up, community to engage with, or a place to work, meet, rest, or just be.”
The cafe is featuring beans from Gloom and Elm, along with chocolate from Cocoa Legato. The food lineup will include pastries from Radiant Flavors, plus sandwiches, paninis and other options designed to make Cafe Blameless more than a quick coffee stop.
The opening is also notable for what it means for the building itself. By operating the cafe on a daily basis, Cafe Blameless will help make this striking church space accessible to the public on a regular basis—giving Ravenna residents another place to gather and spend time in the neighborhood.
Cafe Blameless is holding a soft opening from September 23 through October 11, so visitors should expect a limited menu while the team gets settled in. Hours are subject to change during the soft-opening period.
They’re also hosting events outside of regular cafe hours. On Thursday, October 1 everyone is welcome to join Board Game Night in the Lower Hall from 6 to 8 p.m.; meanwhile Jazztime Seattle will be hosting intermediate Balboa dancers at 6:30 in the primary cafe space. Plus, Co-Working Wednesdays happen every week at the cafe from 9 am to 2 pm; no need to register, just show up and get your work done in a beautiful space with coffee.
