Queen Anne Avenue is usually the sort of place you might wander along for a coffee, a browse in the shops or dinner with friends. But for one evening this November, there’ll be another reason to make the trip to Queen Anne: a neighbourhood-wide wine walk that turns the street into a trail of tasting stops.
The Queen Anne Fall Wine Walk returns on Saturday, November 7, bringing together local merchants and a selection of featured wineries. Rather than settling into one tasting room for the evening, guests can move between participating businesses, discovering new corners of the neighbourhood as they sample wines along the way. It’s part wine tasting, part local shopping expedition and a chance to see Queen Anne’s independent business community in action.
The route runs along Queen Anne Avenue North, between McGraw and Galer Streets, from 4pm to 7pm. The event is organised by the Queen Anne Chamber of Commerce and Seattle Uncorked, with check-in at Bethany Presbyterian Church (1818 Queen Anne Ave N).
It’s worth planning ahead if you fancy going: the previous wine walk was the event’s most successful yet, selling out before the day and reaching capacity. Advance tickets cost $35, rising to $45 at the door if any remain.
Admission includes 12 tasting tickets and a wine glass, with one wine tote included per couple. Guests must be 21 or over.

If all that tasting has you curious to learn a little more about what’s in your glass, An Idiot’s Guide to Wine offers a more laid-back way to get acquainted with the world of wine. Part stand-up comedy show part wine tasting, the idea is to take the stuffiness out of wine education, making it easier to explore different varieties, pick up a few useful tips and work out what you actually enjoy drinking.
The next event takes place at Palladian Arthouse at Kimton Palladian Hotel this Saturday, November 7th. It’s a fun option for anyone who wants to feel a little more confident choosing a bottle, without having to memorise an entire wine list or pretend to know what a sommelier means by terroir.

Also this weekend, on Friday November 6, POUR 2026 takes over Club Sur in SODO for its ninth annual grand tasting, bringing together more than 20 wineries based within Seattle’s city limits.
From 6pm to 9pm, guests can sample pours from local names including Structure Cellars, Locus Wines, House of Smith and Tinte Cellars, with Cuban food from Café con Leche available to buy.
With multiple wine events on the calendar, Seattle’s wine scene has a rather good excuse to come out of the bar and enjoy a glass a different way this weekend.
