You can smell the goodies in this boutique bakeshop from miles away. If you’re traveling to Bainbridge Island in the early morning, Blackbird Bakery has to be your first stop. Try the Helen’s French Rolls, take a latte to go, and explore the island.

4. Burgerhaus (Hitchcock)
This is not a normal burger joint, here you’ll find 21-day dry-aged grass-fed beef, smoked in-house bacon, lamb, elk, and wagyu beef with wild mushrooms, boutique cheeses, and house-made buns. Burgerhaus also has options for all the vegans out there, their plant-based patties and sauces are so delicious, that even some carnivores might convert.
