Seattle’s summer festival season gets a fresh highlight in 2026 with the return of the newly renamed Ballard Music & SeafoodFest. Taking place July 10–12, this community-driven event brings music, food, and family-friendly activities to the heart of Seattle’s beloved Ballard neighborhood. Best of all: the festival has free entry!
Sprawling over several blocks in the heart of downtown Ballard, the festival celebrates the neighborhood’s deep maritime roots while offering something for everyone. Visitors can expect a lively mix of live music, local arts and crafts, a bustling vendor market, kid-friendly activities, and a beer and cocktail garden. Dozens of food vendors will be on hand, with seafood taking center stage—especially the festival’s famous smoked salmon BBQ plate, available Saturday and Sunday while supplies last.

Music remains a major draw, with indie rock favorites Built to Spill headlining Saturday night. The main stage lineup, presented by KEXP, also features a diverse mix of regional and touring acts, including Nite Wave, Low Cut Connie, The Dusty 45s, and Wild Rumours, among others.
Festivities kick off Friday evening with a relaxed “pre-funk” block party from 5 to 10 p.m. featuring live music, a beer garden, and select food trucks. The full festival experience unfolds over the weekend, with expanded food offerings, family activities like the Kids Deck and bouncy houses, and Festibowl—an all-ages, all-abilities skateboarding event.

Saturday runs from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., highlighted by Built to Spill’s evening performance, while Sunday wraps up earlier, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with Wild Rumours closing out the festival.
With free admission and activities spanning several city blocks, Ballard Music & SeafoodFest continues to be one of Seattle’s signature summer celebrations—blending local culture, music, and delicious local seafood into one lively weekend.
